Bonfire Night and Diwali
During Weeks 31st October and 7th November we will be doing lots of activities around
Bonfire night and Diwali we will be talking about family events, looking at what are the
differences and same things about both events. We will be making Diwali pinch pot
lamps. We will be learning about fire safety through Fireman Sam Stories.
Week 14 th November is National Road Safety Week
We will be doing lots of activities around road safety, such as crossing the road at the
zebra crossings and with the Lollipop lady. Sam will be role playing crossing the road
safely with the children wearing her school crossing patrol uniform. Our stories will all
be linked to the theme we will be discussing car seat and seat belt safety through the
story of ‘Teddy takes a Tumble’. You could also get involved in road safety week by
discussing road safety when out and about and when in the car.
Christmas Raffle – Hamper
Over the Last few years we have asked our families to kindly bring in a donation of
food to make up a Christmas hamper we welcome all food donations however with the
exception of alcohol . We have then raffled the Christmas hamper off and proceeds
have gone towards the children’s Christmas party. We hope that you would kindly
support us again this year. We will display the hamper as soon as donations of food
come in. The tickets will cost £1 per 5 ticket strip.
